Synopsis: Azalea is trapped. Just when she should feel that everything is before her . . . beautiful gowns, dashing suitors, balls filled with dancing . . . it's taken away. All of it.

The Keeper understands. He's trapped, too, held for centuries within the walls of the palace. And so he extends an invitation.

Every night, Azalea and her eleven sisters may step through the enchanted passage in their room to dance in his silver forest.

But there is a cost.

The Keeper likes to keep things.

Azalea may not realize how tangled she is in his web until it is too late.

Review: When I turned on my Nook to start reading this, I though I was going into a magical world with ballgowns and lots of other princess like things, and I did. It wasn't your normal princess story though. It was dark in some parts but surprisingly held my attention.
I have to say what I didnt't like and that was that the pacing was so slow and it took me almost five days to get through this book so I got behind in my reading. The last probably fifty pages were definitetly the best and I felt that at least one hundred pages probably could've been cut out of this book. I would still recommend it but it definitely was not my favorite novel. This was a standalone book which was a nice break from reading huge series and I felt like this could've turned into a duology with all that happened in this book. My favorite character was probably Bramble because she was so dang spunky and had a good humor. I am NOT trying to bash this book or the author in any way. It just wasn't the best book in my opinion.

  1. I remember I loved this book when I read it! I read it over the summer during vacation and I read through it so quickly because I loved it so much. I guess I'm just a huge fan of fairytales. I agree, it is darker than usual fairytales, and the end is very action packed. I'm sorry you didn't really like this book. I love your honest review, though! :)
